I'm glad for that nuzgul! I love the way you took the existing scene and changed the outcome by letting us see the struggle inside Boromir's head. The best sort of AU/what if? It makes me sad for Boromir all over again.

I don't know how I missed this story, but I did! I love Boromir Lives! AUs and this was a wonderful one. I especially liked it because he still got Frodo on the road to Mordor without losing himself in the process. That's always one of the problems with these sorts of stories - Boromir lives, but it's after he's already frightened Frodo and Boromir barely escapes with his life. I liked how you showed the internal struggle he had as he spoke with Frodo, it must have been such a horrible time for him.
I never really liked Boromir when I was young and read the books for the first time. As I've gotten older, I can appreciate the struggles he goes through... giving into that temptation for a moment, then the horror and guilt he feels and then the redemption as he tries to save Merry and Pippin.
Thanks for sharing!
