A moving account of Faramir's healing. It is an interesting idea that the dreams were not all dark.I loved the meeting with Aragorn.

Interesting take on the Faramir-healing scene. I really am intrigued by how you managed to splice Faramir and his sense of duty to Denethor with his nascent sense of duty to Aragorn. I feel like you show well that it is his duty to Gondor and all that it demands of him (made perfect with the return of the king) which drives Faramir. It's interesting also to imagine that Faramir, rather than being in a place of torment because of the Black Breath, was actually withdrawing to a place of seductive peace.

I've seen this done numerous times as Faramir's progress through a sort of hell. This is just as plausible, I think-that a gentle soul worn beyond all bearing would retreat into a place where he had felt safe as a child. I particularly liked the remark about him having learned to move through the world of dreams like the waking world.
