Justice cannot be too harsh, and must be properly tempered with mercy and discernment. Come to know those you will be responsible for so that you will know what will best deter each from self-centeredness and inspire each to generosity and consideration for others.

“As for the Sackville-Bagginses—well, they are needy and greedy, I’ve found. But there’s always a way to bring out the best in the rest.”
