Day 31: Valinor, Stupidity

That blurry line between stupidity, duty, and courage, by Peregrin Took

Often, while marching to the Black Gate, Pippin wondered how he'd landed on that
fix. When he volunteered before the Steward-- no, the Palantiri-- no, at the
Council of Elrond, Merry and him-- no, no, before that, when they followed Frodo
out of The Shire-- no, even before, when they tried to fill the void Bilbo
left-- no, while hearing adventures at Bilbo's feet...

Many had called him a fool before, but nothing he'd done could be more foolish
than this! He'd wished himself home-- only, not really.

So, he'd remain a fool 'till the bitter end, but not unchanged.
