Seduction

Written for B2MeM 2011. The Day One Challenge (Nan Elmoth):
Voltaire said that it's not enough to conquer: one must learn to seduce. Write a story or poem or create artwork where seduction plays a central role.

100 words. CMC fic.

We do not ever intend to do it, my brother and I. But after three thousand years, we know the signs-the melting glances, the sighs, the abstraction. And the disappointment when the realization comes that we will not rise to the bait. ’Tis true, we have dallied with mortals from time to time, but only with those sufficiently strong of will not to succumb to our allure

She does not intend to do it either. And how could forthright honesty and truth be tools of seduction in any event? But they have seduced me and I fear I am undone.
