Preface

Fell and Fair began as a single drabble (a vignette of precisely one hundred words), then expanded into a drabble series; however, it has grown to the point where now I think of it as a complete story, told in drabbles.

It is an expression of my abiding love and respect for the fascinating world created by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Thank you for reading, and your comments and constructive criticism are always most welcome and highly valued.

I'll see you again for the extensive Author's Notes at the end.

The Inspiration for this Series
In the forefront of the charge they saw two great horsemen, clad in grey, unlike all the others, and the Orcs fled before them; but when the battle was won they could not be found, and none knew whence they came or whither they went. But in Rivendell it was recorded that these were the sons of Elrond, Elladan and Elrohir.
