This was a wonderful story, Raksha! So very entertaining and funny and heart-warming all at the same time. Faramir's ebullient mood was really delightful and contagious (even without imbibing alcohol myself ;)).
And despite his condition his essential character still shines through, his curiosity, love of lore, his loyalty to king and land. And even here the shadow of Denethor is not completely banned, but Faramir can transform his own experiences into positive thinking and vow to be better father to his newborn son.
I like Aragorn's portrayal in this - he is quietly amused at Faramir's tipsiness, but doesn't dwell on it, and speaks with him earnestly.
White Tree - always an attraction for me - and Faramir as a bonus - this made me very happy!
