I've also noticed that passage, with its comparison between Elendur and Aragorn. Good to see something done with it. The drabble makes me curious about the OFC - who is she, that she hasn't met Estel yet? Is she from Rivendell or from another of the elven realms? And did she ever approach Elendur?

A very nice drabble, Nessime. I dimly remember reading about Elendur and thinking at the time what a shame it was that he had fallen. Sort of like Theodred in that respect-the same sense of great potential lost. Great use of a couple of obscure references!

Oh, marvellous. The tie from Elendur to Estel, which I'd forgotten; a feeling of rebirth and fulfillment of Elendur's truncated destiny through his distant kin; the OFC's strong memories - all engendered a very strong reaction in me. I hope you get to tell her story in full one day!
