This vignette is a good portrait of both men and of a friendship. The image of Aragorn with his pipe is particularly striking.

This is a lovely vignette, Radbooks. There are so many beautiful descriptions, of the gardens, and of the deep friendship between the two men, a friendship that doesn't need words. You really captured Aragorn's charisma, how his mere presence can, in this case soothe, others. The grief of both men was obvious, but not melodramatic.
