Intricate and fascinating story of a time and place not often visited by Tolkien fanfic writers. (and especially chilling account of the spread of Melkor-worship)
Looking forward to seeing more of the saga.

Hey Maeve,
Just a wee email to say that I'm reading this series and doubt I'm the only one. I think it's really fantastic and your writing is great. I'm hoping it goes a long way!
Thanks.

Well, I'm still reading...
Stories archived here, at least many of them, don't get a large amount of reviews by comparison to StoriesofArda.com or Fanfiction.net. And from what I can tell, Numenor (and much of the Second Age) is one of the least popular subjects for Tolkien fanfiction stories, though in my opinion it is a fascinating subject.
You're doing a good job with the story; and it certainly holds my attention. I am wondering if Zarhil and Inzalidun's marriage will always remain one of convenience, or if they will ever come to love each other...

That kid is going to be soooooooo spoiled, far more so than little Zimraphel-Miriel. Excellent extrapolation on Ar-Pharazon's epithet of "The Golden".
I still don't quite understand who killed Inzalidun and Zarhil's son - was the infant killed by grandfather, uncle or aunt?
