Good question. Why did he ever leave? But I think Halbarad has a lot to learn about his new friend. I love it that Aragorn states such outrages(for the Dunedain) opinions so casually.

Okay--rather AU, but definitely provocative. So, in your version of Elves sex is indeed free, eh? Interesting. And I find myself also asking Halbarad's question--why would Aragorn seek to leave Rivendell under such conditions?
The thought of Aragorn being exposed in this manner to STDs is an interesting one.
