Wow, a fantastic story! I am going to have to hunt down Morgoth's Ring and look up the debate quoted here. It's interesting to consider the position of the Faithful as being laid down on Silmarien's wedding night. I'd be interested to hear whether you started from the Scripture and wrote the story, or started with the story idea and later applied the Scripture. Thanks for posting something so true to Tolkien's own beliefs. Truly, we have a goodly heritage!
