This is hands down one of the best pieces of "fanfiction" I have ever read. You are remarkably talented. Your opening paragraph alone is worthy of praise. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Aliana, that was lovely. The characterisations were very well done. I can admire the way this is crafted and how both Frodo and Éowyn came to life through Éowyn’s observations.

A sad telling, well written.

Just a note to say that I have read this before, and if I neglected to review then, I hope to make amends. This is lyrical, beautiful, poignant and true, a treasure to read and a moment to return to. You invested such feeling into the least of things, the bouncing of a heel, a comparison of bandaged wounds, and somehow bring the reader close, into that brief, precious intimacy Eowyn will guard the rest of her days. Lovely, lovely piece. :-)
Cheers ~
Erin

Aliana, this is simply lovely. A very penetrating yet balanced look at Eowyn, a character about whom I have mixed feelings. I particularly liked the line at the end about Frodo already receding, and how you touch upon the true sadness behind the Trilogy-that great evil is passing, but so is great good, and things will be much more mundane from now on. This is an awesome piece of work.
