I vote for Number 2 -- by far the best written IMHO.
BTW, love your other work.

Then again, Number 5 was pretty damn good too. I'll have to call it a draw between 2 & 5...

These were really creepy. I'm not typically a huge fan of drabbles, but these were moving and well-done. Thanks for sharing!

This is a very evocative piece IMO. I especially enjoyed the two story lines, the private line of Faramir & Eowyn which lightens from despair (Eowyn, One) to "cannot despair" (Faramir, Five) while the doom of the free realms darkens from One to Five. So for me this is a very accomplished blending of two lines of fate.
I see additionally a third line which binds the drabbles and belongs essentially to the private Faramir & Eowyn line.
It is the length of their being together:
One: they even don't know each other
Two: they spend some hours together in Edoras
Three: they live beside another but separated
Four: they lived to love each other openly
Five: they lived together into old age
This steadily intensifying "going together through life" lightens the despair as they can shoulder the load of doom together. This makes them stronger against the incoming flood of darkness.

Beautiful, chilling and sad-- all the more powerful for being so brief.
This phrase especially got to me:
"She comes to him and claims the kiss; the last breath before night takes it all. Their lips part, never to meet again in this life."
Thank goodness things turned out the way they "really" did! Great, great work.
