Don't usually do poetry, but because it was you.... most enjoyable.
This bit here--"I bade him sing to me of soil - of stone and loam and peat -
I learned to hold this shape until the ground no longer hurt my feet, "
put me in mind of Christiansen's Little Mermaid. Don't know if that was your intention or not.

I liked this when I first read it elsewhere. I do not remember much about Goldberry from the book *note to self, re-read FOTR* but this is an interesting bit. Thank you.
