| | Journal Main Read Journal Entry Blog_display The House of Mardil By:Altariel February, 28 2006 A place to discuss my various stories about the equally various Stewards of Gondor and their very various heirs! Comment: Where is Faramir's summer house? When you said "pool" and "falls" it made me think of Henneth Annun, even though Ithilien is full of waterfalls and it could be anywhere. I'm guessing somewhere in north Ithilien to escape the heat, since it is a summer house? Actually, I imagined it as right opposite Henneth Annun: it's looking out over the Forbidden Pool. But you're right, it could be anywhere in north Ithilien. If so, Raksandhar was shown a great amount of trust to be allowed so deep into Gondor. I think Faramir is hoping that showing that trust will be a good way of ensuring Raksandhar's loyalty. So that Raksandhar betraying that trust would be as likely as Faramir betraying Aragorn's or Gandalf's trust. I hadn't written Raksandhar to be related to anyone else in the Unabeauverse, but who knows what might emerge... ;-) I'm really glad you enjoyed the story - thank you!
