Hethlin of Anorien

 February, 25 2006

I know CMC's a done deal, but since I intend to give it a thorough editing in the future, I'll include it in this thread, as well as make this a place for any other Heth questions not appropriate for the Silver Swan thread.

Altariel: here is a little fragment from around the start of chapter 5 of AGOC

Oh, wonderful! There's so much here...

Re: the discussion that brought this out, I love: ... and he was amazed yet again by the ferocity she brought to everything, even delight.

And: ...she looked back with longing towards the gate...

And his "litany" - I can hold this together, I can hold this together. Very well done! That and the particular personality traits/actions of Eowyn's that he focuses on here serve to highlight further his reasons for being so reticent to share his illness with her. Combined, as you mentioned above, his natural tendencies and the influence of his father/heritage. (Thinking of the whole "Men of Twilight" thing - who knows what other preconceived notions/ideas Faramir has that must also be gradually revamped as he and Eowyn grow closer? I never thought that there _had_ to be a specific event, just wondered if you saw one.)

Thank you for sharing this snippet! Ah, *shuffles feet sheepishly* I don't suppose that there are any more like this lurking on your hard drive? *hopeful look*
