| | Journal Main Read Journal Entry Blog_display Hethlin of Anorien By:Isabeau February, 25 2006 I know CMC's a done deal, but since I intend to give it a thorough editing in the future, I'll include it in this thread, as well as make this a place for any other Heth questions not appropriate for the Silver Swan thread. Comment: Wow, I don't check in for a couple of weeks and it goes crazy. I felt something small and furry and persistent nibbling at my ankles... "Oh oh," I thought, "there's only one thing smaller than me with teeth so sharp..." And is there a specific experience of Faramir's that leads him to be so certain of Eowyn’s reaction to his illness? (That last one may be better directed to Altariel, actually, since it comes from "A Game of Chess".) Ooh, what an interesting one. I had never thought that perhaps there was something particular which made him so sure: I'd put his silence down to a combination of: 1. Eowyn's often expressed opinions about war, courage, fighting, etc.; 2. Faramir's ingrained habit of not talking about his feelings; and, 3. shame. But perhaps she does say something in passing that he misunderstands. I wonder which would suit the story better thematically: misinterpretation, or lack of communication? It's about both, I guess. What would Andra's reaction be if/when he finds out about it? I'm intrigued by that one too *grabs furry thing by scruff of neck, lobs across Atlantic...* Where will it land? Chicago? Kentucky?
