Imhiriel asked-In Silver Swan you have Aragorn say that he doesn't consider himself as a good teacher for weapons training. From the 4th chapter of Kin-Strife I got the impression that he indeed trained the guard of MT. Did I misunderstand this - perhaps he didn't train them, they merely improved by his example?

I think what you have here is Aragorn being hard on himself. He's probably a perfectly good teacher. But he compares himself to people like Glorfindel and Andra and sees himself coming up short.
