Yes.

I think I recall that upon his father's death his mother was falsely accused of poisoning him and was killed on the spot. Was this an opportunistic move by his legitimate half-brothers, taking advantage of their father's death by natural causes to accuse his hated concubine? If Andra's father really was poisoned, do you think his own legitimate sons did it, before he could further favor Andrahar?

Got it in one. Isfhandijar didn't do his bastard son any favors by favoring him so flagrantly. The older sons were very much afraid that they would be disowned in favor of the slave-boy. It would have been difficult, but not impossible to do. And the oldest one had been born when Isfhandijar was sixteen or seventeen-he was beginning to think he'd not live to see dear old Dad pop off. So they killed two birds with one stone.
