Princes of Dol Amroth
February, 25 2006
Questions about the life and times of Imrahil and his family can be asked here, including questions about Ultimatums, Kin-Strife and the shorter stories. Discussions about Brand can go either here or in the Best-Loved Son thread, since his stories sort of overlap both cycles.
Nargil wrote: Isabeau said: None of them had what Imrahil had, which was a couple of months there when his dreaming gift was out of whack.
Will this be part of kin-strife or is it somthing else, also did Andra go with him or do you go with Soledad's version in sea-side conversations 2?
This will be part of Kin-strife, and no, Andra won't be allowed to go with him. Gildor won't have Andra in Edhellond, and as matters turn out, Andra will be very busy elsewhere.
Also do any of Imrahil's children have the dreams, you said Brand does so will he or Faramir ever have the same problem with things going wrong?
Elphir has the gift, Erchirion doesn't. If 'Rothos did, he'd just ignore it, but I don't think he does-his mind is too literal and rational. Haven't decided about 'Thiri. It might be fun if she did-no reason the boys should have all the fun.
Faramir's gift seems to be pretty strong, but he's never indulged in Haradrim pharmaceuticals, so I think he's OK. As for Brand, Andrahar would kick his arse all around the castle if he tried Hekadior anything else. Let's hope he doesn't have any trouble-by the time Brand comes around, a lot of the people who could help him are leaving Middle-earth.
