Princes of Dol Amroth
February, 25 2006
Questions about the life and times of Imrahil and his family can be asked here, including questions about Ultimatums, Kin-Strife and the shorter stories. Discussions about Brand can go either here or in the Best-Loved Son thread, since his stories sort of overlap both cycles.
Thanks for answering so thoroughly, Isabeau. Much of what you wrote were things I thought might be likely, too, and it's nice to know it might be probable from the author's perspective.
so I don't think he would be taking Akilah to task for her odd ways-he'd probably figure she fits right in and it's just as well she picked a Gondorim to marry!
Lol! And marry this particular Gondorim, to boot, right...
As far as Akilah goes, no one who moves in highly placed circles in Harad is ignorant of who Andrahar is-he's pretty much a legend at this point. She would indeed accept him as Adrahil's son and probably be both cautious and respectful in the extreme as regarded her conduct towards him. I think in time that she would relax a bit, particularly when she saw how he and Amrothos got along.
Oh, that's wonderful to imagine! And to imagine Amrothos's reaction to this.
Actually, if you're still open to nuzgul-flinging...
I'm very much longing to see a scene in which the fact of Andra as "Adrahil's son" plays a role in some way.
