|All the tales of the Valar and the Elves are so knit together that one may scarce expound any one without needing to set forth the whole of their great history.|

Princes of Dol Amroth
February, 25 2006
Questions about the life and times of Imrahil and his family can be asked here, including questions about Ultimatums, Kin-Strife and the shorter stories. Discussions about Brand can go either here or in the Best-Loved Son thread, since his stories sort of overlap both cycles.
I think Andra would actually consider his taking up his womanizing ways once more more appropriate than trying to marry a girl the age of his daughter.
Ah. Um. Well, I'm not sure Andra has much room to complain. I mean, Boromir was young enough to be his son, although admittedly the age difference was still much less than Imrahil/Hethlin.
Is it any consolation to say that I sympathize with the desire to finish your WiPs even as I'm secretly praying for your muse to hijack you to Dale? Heth's intersection with AGoC has always been a point of intense curiosity for me. For example, how much of Faramir/Eowyn's marital troubles does she know about? How do they affect her, with her one-time (or still latent?) infatuation? And of course, I'm wondering if she ever comes back to Gondor after Dale... She wasn't part of the story when Altariel was actually writing it, so I'm looking forward to if/how she will be worked into the background. And maybe her getting to spar with Eowyn again in the future, when Eowyn is recovered from childbirth. *smothers evil cackle*
One minor thing that occurred to me from Passages: Has Imrahil replaced Heth's dagger yet? I'm also really looking forward to Brand's insights into Faramir and Eowyn's situation, giving his own unhappy early home life; and we haven't seen any interaction with he and his uncle outside of The Lost. Am I right in assuming that he was able to attend their wedding? And was Hethlin also able to go (if she wanted to), or was the timing off with her esquire training?
