|All the tales of the Valar and the Elves are so knit together that one may scarce expound any one without needing to set forth the whole of their great history.|

Any comments, suggestions for this story?
Rebecca wrote: Did you expand the epilogue a bit Isabeau? I like that Mablung bought his daughter's bed from Idren. Mablung seems like the sort who would check in on those who were once in his charge. He's such a decent sort of guy.
No, that was there from the start. Mablung also remembered that Idren liked wood-working, which is one reason he mentioned the family as a possibility to Eryngol.
More curiosity from me about how likely folks were to guess that Hethlin was a girl. Lorend's family's home was surely bigger than Idren's farmhouse but wouldn't there have been a risk that she'd be spotted while undressing or bathing, etc? Or was it an "open secret" that some people could be trusted with, and Mablung and Faramir knew the secret would be safe with Lorend's family if discovered?
I don't think they were much worried. Lorend's family is pretty well off, and Heth could have had either a private room or shared with Mablung and Lorend. And had she been discovered, there was no real reason for them to go running to Denethor or anyone else with the information.
