Comment: Denise wrote: I understood the old religion to be local to Lossarnach. Or is it more widespread throughout southern and western Gondor? This is an even more obscure curiosity, but what are the summer observations of the three faces of the Goddess? I figure the old religion is pretty much concentrated in Lossarnach, though I suspect there are pockets elsewhere, particularly in Belfalas and the foothills of the White Mountains. Thanks for putting in Heth’s age (I assumed 17 was what she was at the beginning of Blackbow). I think I’m all straightened out now on the question I asked in an earlier post about her age in different stories. Is there anything significant about not being the youngest Ranger - besides the obvious of having some of the teasing deflected? I think it's mostly just not being at the bottom of the food chain any more. I can't see Faramir letting the younger ones get harassed too much, though they might have to do some of the dirtier jobs. How did Faramir adjust new recruits coming in to the idea of a woman being among the Rangers? I imagine that there's several months or more before new guys get leave, so there would be time to adjust, but was it just a standing order to never discuss Hethlin with anyone except another Ranger? I think that's basically it. By the time they've earned leave, they know Heth pretty well and are motivated to help keep the secret. And finally, I thought you did a fine job on all the names! Not a one struck me as odd or out-of-place. :) Thanks! Dragonflame is a Godsend!
