Now Amrothos wouldn't, and could give her a great deal of book knowledge, but he's got no practical experience himself at this point.
I could see Amrothos going for quite a while without ever gaining any practical experience in that department, too busy building printing presses and developing explosive chemical compounds... and then one day, to the amazement of his family and the shock of the Dol Amroth court, marrying a very sultry and darkly beautiful Haradrim girl. His legitimate half-brothers wouldn't have viewed girls as any threat, although of course they would have been sold into slavery.
