OK, folks-this is the general forum now for questions that don't seem to fit in any of the other threads. I'm going to sort some of the earlier posts into the appropriate forums, but it might take a while, so bear with me. I'll delete the ones that have already been reposted by their authors.

Oh well-spotted! And now that I've read Stud Fee, that's definitely what I think he must be referring to ... funny, before I read SF I figured the above was something to do with the legacy of Wormtongue or Saruman, or something like that. Now I'm convinced that Eomer is thinking of Elladan, and hoping that Nimfaun & Lightfoot will make it all worthwhile (since he'll never be able to admit to himself that it was worthwhile in and of itself!).
Oh the funny spin-offs that could come of that. Although the most likely thing seems to me that it will be a one-off, never to be repeated. If anything Eomer might either conveniently forget it ever happened, or develop a latent hostility towards Elladan, to get rid of that cognitive dissonance!
NB: I'm not suggesting another story topic Isabeau! Although it could be a funny little subplot that never comes fully into focus, and is noticed and understood only by those who have read Stud Fee. It really was a brilliant one-off, and I'm glad that Soledad convinced you to share it (and that I found the courage to read it).
