OK, folks-this is the general forum now for questions that don't seem to fit in any of the other threads. I'm going to sort some of the earlier posts into the appropriate forums, but it might take a while, so bear with me. I'll delete the ones that have already been reposted by their authors.

Doesn't "Stud Fee" fall on the same night that Heth makes that inappropriate "evidence" joke to Imrahil?

I think that's right... and the next day, after discovering that Eomer had him riding on the sedate mare designated for older ladies to ride up the hill, Imrahil declared to Hethlin that, "I must think of something..... truly special for Eomer, as a gift in payment for all his hospitality. Perhaps I should consult with the sons of Elrond.”

Heh, heh, looks like Elladan anticipated him! Does Eomer credit that after a most unusual night and just three hours of sleep he was up inspecting the herds and consulting with Imrahil about the purchase of Lothiriel's horse. Certainly didn't diminish his manhood!
