Emissary of the Mark

This journal serves the potential discussion of the background I have come up with for my Rohan stories. As they are: Ice Blossom, Frozen Flower and Emissary of the Mark, so far.

I didn't want to bore everyone out of their minds with all that Old English stuff, but I wanted it accessible for the interested readers. Other than that, this is the place to ask questions about the trivia, the OCs and generally everything related to this arc.

 [1] Your setting are superb. They are based in enough actual European history to be realistic and adjusted enough to feel like Middle Earth. I look forward to more chapters.

I'm glad you like the story. To be honest, I was afraid that all that background trivia would frighten potential readers away.

I was trying to read the stories mentioned in your intro to Emissary before diving in to that one. I found Frozen Flower and Ice Blossom on ff.net, but couldn't find The White Lady of Rohan. I'm probably missing something obvious, but could you point me to it? Also, I tried going to your old Otherworlds site to find the pictures you mentioned, but I still get the "site not found" screen as discussed in another thread. Is there another place they are located?

It's not one of my best stories - my grasp on English was less secure when I wrote it than it is now, and I'm planning to re-vamp the entire series (as well as both Éowyn-stories) before posting them here.

I don't know what's wrong with the old Otherworlds site - I can get to it just fine. However, Geocities in its endless wisdom decided to kill the pictures, so you haven't lost much. I'm planning to upload the pictures to the Gildors Library Yahoo Group as soon as I find the time, so that people can have some visuals. There will be here, eventually:

All stories mentioned in the entry to Emissary are posted to that group, too. All you have to do is to search the Database for them. The message archives are public; alas, Yahell doesn't allow italics or bold fonts in posts, so reading them there is less enjoyable.
