Ah yes! Sudden flashes of great warmth, sudden fierce moments of icy anger. I can see her calling Hethlin "family" in a burst of great warmth towards her. Also, I think she has wide conception of the idea of family, as a result of having been adopted in her youth.

Hope I'm making sense - I've had a long, long week and my brain, she melting!

Yes, I can see Eowyn being like that -- mercurial but always genuine, sometimes prickly or haughty but also warm and generous. Difficult but interesting -- my favorite kind of woman!

Perfect sense. Of course my brain melted entirely some time ago ... :)
