Blog_display Journal entry topics? By:Altariel February, 23 2006 To help with making the journals page more discussion friendly: any topics/stories people would like me to create entries for? Post A Comment 4 replies Post A Comment[1] Hi Altariel, I think that major story-arc topics would be pretty straightforward and user-friendly. As has been mentioned elsewhere there would be overlap at times, but since it's occurring within the context of one author's journal I don't think it would be that hard to point readers to another discussion topic if two discussions started to parallel each other... Rebecca Posted:Feb 23, 2006 08:45 GMT Reply to this Comment [2] A "general" journal/blog would be great for comments that are outside the story arcs, or encompass several of them. The palantiri discussion that took place in your meme journal would be an example, although it branched off of a question for "Proof/Intent." You said to use the "Altariel's Blog" entry for general questions, but you might clarify the entry description for it so newcomers pick up on that. Maybe a forum-style entry for reader-to-reader discussion? Although much of our reader blathering in Isabeau's journal seemed to take off after she answered a specific question that struck a chord in several people. (Imrahil's earring comes to mind there - heh.) So I'm not sure how well-contained they would remain in any event. But that type of discussion is a significant portion of the Monster thread, so it might help. Denise Posted:Feb 23, 2006 15:56 GMT Reply to this Comment [3] Thanks, Rebecca. I like the idea of organizing the discussions according to the way the stories are broken up on the website so I think I'll add entries along those lines. Altariel Posted:Feb 24, 2006 06:05 GMT Reply to this Comment [4] Thanks, Denise. I've tweaked the description on "Altariel's Blog", hopefully that feels a little more welcoming now. Let me know if you think I can improve on that. Altariel Posted:Feb 24, 2006 06:07 GMT Reply to this Comment | ||||||
