Isabeau's Journal

By:Isabeau
 November, 12 2005

OK, folks-this is the general forum now for questions that don't seem to fit in any of the other threads. I'm going to sort some of the earlier posts into the appropriate forums, but it might take a while, so bear with me. I'll delete the ones that have already been reposted by their authors.

[442] *Hands Isabeau a cudgel and chocolate, so she can play Good Cop, Bad Cop with her Tolkien muse....*

[443] Hi! I'm a long-time lurker who discovered your stories a few years ago and has reread them a few times since then, though I haven't posted a comment or review - my apologies! - until this last reread. And I must say: excellent work! I admit to being a bit leery when I first heard of your work: a white-haired female Ranger with a kinship with eagles who manages to escape being a Mary Sue? Surely not? But oh - definitely. It was impossible not to fall in love with Hethlin... then with Andrahar... then with Brand... And yes, also with Imrahil, who of course is not an OC, but whom you've fleshed out so completely that your Imrahil now colours my perception of all fanfic Imrahil. It's been a pleasure to see your writing develop over the years, especially - as I noticed over this latest re-read - the progression from the pleasant-but-still-sometimes-stilted-and-expository prose of Captain, My Captain to the wonderful flow you've developed in Passages, Kin-Strife, etc. And, of course, to anticipate the answer to that ever-nagging question: Whom Heth Nests With. Thanks for the wonderful entertainment!

[444] I was doing a Google search and, amazingly, some entries from this blog showed up. I'm just curious if we can still post, even though the journals don't show up on the TFF home page...

[446] You know, it didn't occur to me until later, but is Lord Kazim Akilah's father? When does "Liquid Numbers" take place?
