Isabeau's Journal

By:Isabeau
 November, 12 2005

OK, folks-this is the general forum now for questions that don't seem to fit in any of the other threads. I'm going to sort some of the earlier posts into the appropriate forums, but it might take a while, so bear with me. I'll delete the ones that have already been reposted by their authors.

[371] *g* Yes, I thought about "Fifteen Hot Haradrim". Of course, I don't know when in the Unabeauverse that vignette happens, but I guess I always assumed that it was late in Imrahil's career precisely because of how well-known the nickname is.

Thanks again for "Wallowing", Isabeau. Er, one more question? Has Imrahil heard at that point about Andra striking Hethlin? At first my impression was that he had not, but then I realized he could have had time to process it and just didn't want to discuss any of it with her.

[372] Erg. I just realized that I misstated my question. I'd always assumed that Elphir had to inform Imrahil right away of the decision to relieve Andrahar of being Commander. What I wondered (during Imrahil's comments on not talking to Andrahar about any of his "wallowing") is if Imrahil knows that it was specifically Hethlin that Andrahar struck, and if he and Andra have had a face-off about it yet.

Which is, of course, yet another scene I am very interested in seeing one day... :D

You know, I hadn't been thinking about that when I wrote the piece. I suppose that could be part of Imrahil's disgruntlement with Andrahar, but I don't really think so. That may change when I actually write the rest of the story that's supposed to go around Wallowing. Andrahar would have come clean to Imrahil at the earliest possible opportunity, so yes, I do think he knows about it. And I don't think he would have been pleased, but he would also have approved of Andrahar's actions in the aftermath of the incident. A bit of discreet observation and inquiry would have told him that Hethlin seemed to be settling in and doing better, so I don't think he has any questions about Andrahar's ability to teach her. Andra usually only makes a mistake once.

It would be a fun scene, wouldn't it? I'll have to think about that.

[374] It would be a fun scene, wouldn't it?

Do it. DO IT!

(Also... will Peloren be making an appearance? I mean, technically speaking, since he's in command of the Swan Knights, it's his job, and Elphir's, at that moment to actually debrief Imrahil. And that could make for some... interesting... interactions between him and Andrahar and Elphir and Imrahil. Do they let Andra get a word in, tell him to wait in the halls? Does Andra preempt them with or without permission and meet Imrahil in the stables to fill him in on why he won't be the one closeted with Imrahil and Elphir? There's room for all sorts of fun possibilities.

Just saying.)

*points* Yeah, what Dwim said!

But not if it interferes with continuing Passages, of course....

Nuh uh. Get in line. Ultimatums has seniority, here.

[377] I'm with Dwim; Ultimatums needs a new chapter first! *grin*

 [378] *rolls eyes*

I don't care what story it belongs to, as long as Imrahil and Andrahar are in it, I will be thrilled to read it!

[379] I don't care what happens next, although I do want to see more of passages, and everything else.

And an Imri / Andra face off would be good;

[380] Hear! Hear! Would love to read anything new. But Ultimatums especially. That, or Blackbow! Or Silver Swan - I really want to know who Heth ends up with!
